Kia ora koutou
We’re sad to advise that the HeadFit Awards gala dinner (scheduled for Wednesday, 9 March 2022) is unable to go ahead.
With New Zealand being in the Red COVID-19 Protection Framework level, and case numbers dramatically increasing in recent days, events like our gala dinner are restricted to no more than 100 guests (even if all guests and staff are fully vaccinated).
Bookings for the gala dinner were almost at maximum capacity for the venue, and we had an incredible night planned for you — keynote speakers, two live bands playing across multiple stages, film crews, photograpers, red carpet and more. But Red level guest limitations, venue restrictions, logistics and cost limitations mean we cannot run the event in person in red, and further postponing the event is not possible due to calendar and venue availability.
To our valued sponsors, finalists, keynote speakers, our suppliers and event delivery partners – we are really sorry that we can’t proceed in person with the gala dinner. We look forward to welcoming you to the awards ceremony live stream instead and we’ll provide more details on this shortly to all sponsors, speakers and finalists.
We’re working to confirm the financial impact of the gala dinner being unable to proceed, but we’re committed to honouring all refund requests for dinner tickets in accordance with our event terms and conditions. Please bear with us while we confirm the details – we’ll be in touch with all sponsors, finalists and suppliers over the next week or so with more information.
In the meantime we wish you all the very best as Aotearoa navigates this next stage of the pandemic.
