
Grant is a lawyer, technology enthusiast and internationally-recognised workplace mental health advocate. After experiencing the heartbreak of losing a workmate to depression and suicide, Grant became an advocate for mental health at work and a champion for change in this area. He has and helped inspire and support transformational workplace mental health responses in Kiwi organisations. Grant also created social enterprise HeadFit Foundation, which aims to create a more mentally-healthy future for Aotearoa by helping Kiwi workplaces take a fresh look at how they do mental health.
In 2020, Grant was awarded Most Inspiring Leader of the Year at the international This Can Happen Workplace Mental Health Awards, received a Special Commendation Award for service to workplace mental health at Thomson Reuters New Zealand Health and Safety Awards.
Grant’s vision is to see a New Zealand full of workplaces and people that are thriving when it comes to mental health and wellbeing.
